Next up fighting for the shop is Taylor Cahill who puts his 3-2 pro record up against Nate Davies of Victory MMA. This will be a welterweight bout for Caged Thunder promotions This will take place at the Canton Civic Center in downtown Canton Ohio Civic Center on December 13th. My view: Throughout Taylor Cahill's career I have yet to see any fighter whom was more skilled or even a better fighter. I believe he has worked thru a few injuries and personal issues that he has had and feel this one will end with Cahill picking up a KO in this fight
Update: Taylor Cahill gets the win in a dominating fashion as he hammered his opponent from the opening bell. Taylor dominated the striking and grappling as well as the ground and pound. This kid will be a hard out for anyone if he polishes up a few areas of his game.
he shop's Malcom Harris (pictured below)brings his undefeated amateur mma record 3-0 against the title holder Kanyon Tackett who comes into the fight with a 8-1 record. This fight is brought to you by BCM Promotions and will be held in Ontario, Ohio on Nov 26th with doors opening at 7pm.
My view: Malcom brings a athletic unorthodox style mixed with a high level wrestling background combined with high level bjj background while his opponent tends to wrestle his guys to the ground and his go to appears to be a arm bar or ground and pound. This should be a good fight and I see it going to Malcom Harris via finish
Results: Malcom lost a unanimous decision in what most would say was in no way unanimous but when you are a out of town guy there always seems to be a bit of home cooking. Malcom took the reigning champion completely out of his game and dominated the first round. The champion a wrestler proceeded to get a few take downs in the second and third round in which he did very, very little. Malcom countered with a barrage of punches and submission attempts from bottom position and in my opinion caused more damage and dare I say actually won the fight. We do however, have judges and everyone has a different perception. Hats off to Malcom for taking a fight with a reigning champion who claimed he could not get a professional fight as no one wanted to fight him. Malcom took the fight on short notice and showed his Moxy in only his third attempt in the ring. He is a true dog
December 21 2025 Update
More to come on upcoming fights which will see the shops Gavin Teasdale taking the ring in his third professional fight. Expect to see Gavin take his game to
the next level. Gavin has faced very stiff competition in his first couple fights and it appears he does not really care who he fights. The learning curve has been accounted for and I would say beware to whomever decides to fight him. In addition, the shops Hunter Gerber looks to get back in action after his last amateur fight in which he put his opponent to bed in the first round with a nasty guillotine choke hold. Hunter is a hard working young man who like all shop guys will fight whoever they put in front of him. The shop has numerous other young hungry men that will soon be making their debuts.
